As the annual GSTA conference approaches next week, I’ve been thinking about GSTA. If you’re a science teacher in Georgia, you really should join. This group is full of dedicated science educators who are selflessly supporting science teachers across the state. They have a wide range of awards and grants for teachers in all stages of their career. Jeremy Peacock, the vice-president, has been working to ensure that their publication–eObservations–is loaded with useful information for teachers. (Disclaimer: I had an article in the October issue of eObservations, and Jeremy is a former student of mine. Of whom I am extremely proud!) The annual conference is a great time for teachers to recharge and find fun and useful ideas to stimulate your teaching. I hope to see some of you in Macon.
